Hi, my grandparents will be in town in 2 weeks and told me that they want to go somewhere in Buffalo Grove that serves coffee, sandwiches, pastry and is reasonably priced, not too noisy.

We go out hiking with some seniors from time to time with lunch included and they always prefer the standard Greek style diner. Breakfast service all day is a plus.
Never fancy or above average and often quiet but the group is always happy.
A saucy waitress is a plus, isn't that right, "Waffle Boy".

If you're chained to BG proper, Continental is the perfect and best choice as everyone said. On the other hand, if you're open to going 5-7 minutes east down Dundee Rd, I highly recommend Rise N' Dine in Wheeling (just south of Dundee on west side of Milwaukee Ave). More creative menu, portions as big if not larger than The Continental, and better quality ingredients in my experience. Also Greek owned and well run...owner Sophia is a sweetheart. Parking can get a little tight since it's such a popular spot, but other than that it's a home run.
