Just in general, a change of venue helps a lot. But other than the usual coffee chains, there aren't a lot of places to go without incurring the dreaded stink-eye. Do you know of some good places to write where you can nab WiFi and snack for low expense? Any area. Thanks!

You go to any college campus, and usually there is a student union that has free wifi, and food and beverages. Norris Center over at Northwestern is an example. You can stay there all day.
