We've got three big patches of them growing in our yard. We never planted them, they just appeared, wild one summer, as if some mystical sower of seeds deposited them, thinking he was doing us a favor. Any interested parties are welcome to come reap the benefit of the harvest in as large or small a quantity as you wish.

The only caveat is, you need to clean up when your done. The plant attached to the Sunchoke is a good a good 12' tall. We want them gone from our yard. You don't need to take them with you, just break down the stalks and put them neatly in the receptacles we'll provide.

If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll provide an address and directions to the "farm".

P.S. Is this worth reposting in the Professional Forum?

Good luck getting rid of them. Even tiny tubers left behind will grow. Sunchokes have a reputation for being as hard to get rid of as the weedy type of daylilies.

I have no illusions about getting rid of them entirely. I just want the tubers to go to good use by people who appreciate them. That, and minimizing the chore of clearing the spent stalks.
