    A competition has been launched in Australia to find a new way of describing kangaroo meat.

    A couple of years ago I got my hands on some kangaroo meat - had two very nice dinner parties featuring rack of kangaroo.

    Hey, Hot Doug's has kangaroo sausages with some regularity.

    It's not bad. Tastes pretty beefy.

    I think I've seen frozen 'roo steaks at whole foods, too..

    I got them frozen, over the internet from some place in Colorado; I don't remember the name. One dinner party was with very adventurous eaters who were anxious to try kangaroo, the other, we let then try to guess what they were eating ... took them about 15 minutes of guessing, but they finally figured it out. Kangaroo has an excellent flavor - somewhere between lean beef and venison - but it's very lean, so you have to be careful not to overcook it.
