Has anybody been to Chayhana at 2245 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618?

A friend insisted Bait in Wheeling had Russian food, but nothing in the online menu stuck out as classic Russian, so I was searching on the internet in case they have a new menu not on their web page. Bait was not listed as Russian (Mediterranean, Modern European, Seafood) in "25 best russian restaurants in Wheeling", but Chayhana was the first interesting sounding one (other than Russian Tea Time). Note that the listed webpage on yelp does not work. www.yelp.com/biz/chayhana-chicago .

Has anybody been there? Anybody want to meet there? If no response I will try to get there next week.

These are computer generated. If you asked for "Ethiopian sushi", they would give you a list, by including both Ethiopian, Japanese, seafood and restaurants within 100 miles.

It looks Russian — well, actually the menu is all over the place (say what you want about messing with our elections, but messing with our avocado toast is GOING TOO FAR) but there are enough clues. Actually, the all-over-the-placeness is not atypical of Russian restaurants. But if you want the typical (tsarist) Russian cuisine — Chicken Kiev, Beef Stroganoff, etc. — Russian Tea Time is your best bet. Chayhana looks to be the kind of Uzbek/Kyrgyz place of which we now have approximately 8 per every actual Uzbek/Kyrgyz person in the Chicago area.

Definitely more strictly Russian dishes (albeit with Chicken Marsala, Hungarian Goulash, and Belgian waffles). No firsthand experience, though, sorry.
