A friend had Squirrel Fish while visiting Beijing and found it to be quite tasty.
Has any one else had this and how did you like it? Can I find this at a restaurant in Chicagoland?

While it appears Squirrel Fish is an actual species of fish I am 99.5% sure the reference is to the euphemistically named fish preparation . -----> Link

It can be found here, pretty sure Homestyle does it, as one example. It does refer to the cutting and frying to give it a finger-like appearance, not unlike a Bloomin' Onion. It is typically served with a true sweet-and-sour sauce, and is very approachable for seafood haters.

I nabbed this image from GNR Homestyle Taste's photo gallery which does not give name or item # of dish.
