Post #31 - January 22nd, 2019, 12:57 pmTK's closed 1-2 years ago. It was always in a lousy location, almost invisible to the cross streets. He made a big mistake with his sauces being pretty bad. The meats were great but many people around the area put a lot of sauce on their BBQ and if that isn't good they won't care if the meat is. I usually use very little sauce so it didn't bother me. He had the best pulled pork I've had yet. Another BBQ joint took over that spot but I think it closed as well.

JD’s is still open
I think he is saying the Glenview location of JD's Q & Brew which took over TK's Smoke Pit has recently closed. The original location of JD's Q & Brew is still open in Arlington Heights on Rand Road.
