You wouldn't think it would be so, but I was very surprised by how dead Riv North was on a Thurs at 9.30p just a couple weeks ago (outlier warm night too). It's been less than vibrant the last several weeknights I've been down there.

It didn't seem as popping as it was when I was a regular 7-8 years ago. I think weekend revenue with the brunch movement has a larger share of the total revenue. Fast casual weekday dinner options among the casualties.

The state department of revenue revoked the restaurant’s license which leaves the future of Leghorn’s parent company, Element Collective, in question. The once promising restaurant group is now left with only Nellcote and RM Champagne Lounge in West Loop. Furthermore, workers are once again accusing Element of not paying its workers on time.

We were there a couple of times but didn’t think it was anything extra special.

There are several other upscale chicken places that attracted us more.
