lackluster reports around here. Reasonable me knows I should just sample their straightforward beef, since I have yet to find a go-to in this neck of the woods. But 13 year old me is being pulled to the gloppy allure of the cheezy beef!

I finally tried this today. It was not a sum of its parts. The garlic bread was basically indiscernible– a Turano sub roll that wasn't toasted, garlic notes were present and blended (well) with beef seasoning. The cheese was just kind of there, stringy enough, seemingly cheap motz (tho advertised as a blend with prov.) It really did not add anything. The beef itself had great texture and seasoning. It's got me thinking that unlike cheesesteaks, the beef in our city's sandwich holds its own!
And, for the win, superb hand cut, crisp golden fries!
Next time, my beef order will be dipped, hot, like usual. Not sure about that sub roll tho...
