My hubby and I just ate the tastiest gyro ever. We've been to Hub's many a time, but we forgot just how good it is!

Until March 15 the gyros are buy one get one free and they come with free fountain drinks (not sure if the free drinks are for everything or only if you buy a gyro). You guys should definately check it out!

Hub's Restaurant, Dempster. In all deference to Grace D who grew up near the Lincoln Ave Hub's and recommended skirt steak sandwich on garlic bread, I wasn't much impressed by anything aside from the 1000-yard stare of the ageing order taker. Take note of the table sauces, you are going to need them.

My office was near there from 2000-2010. Several times a month I had to order their BLT. Lots of crispy bacon and everything else right too. Haven’t been back for a few years but new post makes me curious to see if it is still as good as I remember.

Gary, as a concession to those of us with little self control, please do not post mouth watering pictures of items that will only disappoint when actually ingested.

LMAO. I guess you need to change your outgoing and friendly personality. Maybe they thought you were being nice to get a special order (excuse me, I'm new here)?

Maybe walk up to the counter and use your best Melrose Park accent, "Hey, how ya doin?"

I thought about pulling out my laminated Y*lp Elite since 2007 card, or telling him I was Facebook friends with the Youtube reviewer guy from Munchies, but was afraid I'd have to explain myself to PiD.

Guess unbridled charm and a pretty face can only get you so far . . .

i'm a huge fan of their chicken kebob sandwich. normally, i find any kind of kebob is likely to be too dry for my taste: but they use huge cubes of chicken, sweet/crunchy onion slices and rich and creamy tsatziki sauce on it and it never fails to please me. also, the greek style of pita (soft and folded around the food) is the only kind i truly enjoy. i've had equally good luck with both locations, though, since the one time the lincoln avenue failed to give me my sauce i'm always careful to check the bag for the sauce before i leave the restaurant...

Hub's is mostly about the juice.

LOL, what a classic clip! I'd forgotten it was Hub's. And that SNL cast: Spade, Smigel, Farley (*cry*), Sandler, Schneider and, of course, Jason Alexander hosting. I love that they even referenced the unendingness of the sketch in the sketch.
