The Shoo's I've had in the past were closer related to a Philly Cheese Steak rather than a sub. The meat a little more jumbled/steamed rather than layered/griddled.
The meat was heated on the grill, an ample amount of lettuce. Missing most notably was the giardiniera and tzatziki sauce. I could of gone back to get some...
Nitpicks; American cheese substituted for Swiss, no green pepper. Not greasy/juicy enough. If course this is an 'Alley' type of sandwich without formal rules.
My recent research has led to this list of ingredients...
Corned Beef, Italian Beef, Gyro Meat
Swiss Cheese
Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Green Pepper
Giardiniera
Tzatziki, Mayonnaise, Mustard
... on Italian Bread or a Hoagie Bun
Actually a pretty tasty sandwich here!
My Bride broke out of her hotdog routine and got their
Tuna Melt (on pita). A huge sandwich!
Without the 'melt' (cheese)? I told her why not just get the tuna sub? It is actually a different format.
I always question the use of a mayonnaise based meat mixture on a hot sandwich but...
I also noticed they have a
HOBO Steak Sandwich in which I had to inquire; A rectangular hamburger patty on a sub roll. Might give that a spin next time.
Doing a brisk business at 10:30. Everything very tasty and nicely prepared. Pricing very good with the meal coming in at around $11.
