What a loss.

I hope nobody will let this stop them from voting for Salamera as a GNR.
The restaurant isnt gone yet - it just looks bad. I thought (reading above that
the cooks were leaving and it was being sold) that it might be closed this
weekend itself - thus I went again yesterday for what I thought might be
the last time. Found that it isnt closed - from looking at it one could really
see no difference from normal.
The restaurant is open until December 21. Then, it will close December 22nd
for 10 days, for Christmas break. It will reopen in early January - the break is
just that, a Christmas break.
It is not doing well, of course - and the owner is looking for a buyer and will
probably sell if she finds one I guess. But we only know that because we've
been regular customers and asked - who knows, if business picks up all of
a sudden, things could still change?
I understand that one may not be able to vote for a sure-fire GNR winner in
Tacos del Pacifico, because it is already closed - and we dont know if and
when it will reopen, and where. However, that is *not* the case here - it is
a restaurant that is open, and still serving up great food, even if it isnt getting
great business so far. But since when does that preclude any of us from
voting for a GNR for it?
Oh, and another vote for it here, of course - whatever it is, the 5th or the 6th
or whatever.
