The return of M*mi

I know some folks were a fan of the Specialty Deli, on Montrose just west of Damen, that bore her name, so I thought I'd pass along that she's now running the sandwich and deli counter at the Cosmic Cafe, on Montrose just east of Damen. (Like many a rock star, she lost the rights to her name and material to an earlier employer -- hence the asterisk above -- but says she's adapted what was best from the old menu and created a few new options.)

I haven't been yet -- just got the email with the news -- so don't have a comparison yet, but I'll post when I do. Her email made a point of saying the place had WiFi, if you're among the crew that considers it a necessity.

Great news! I was a big fan of the Deli and ate there at least once a week. Great paninis. Last time I heard she was working at Sweet Occasions on Damen and LeLand; but last time I was there the sandwiches were subpar and her famous salad dressing tasted like generic store bought Greek. Looking forward to checking it out.
