Well, at least until Feb 13th. That's what the signs in the windows say.

Hopefully this will save someone a trip there for no reason.

They're just closed for vacation but the Arlington Heights location is still open for those of us who need their combo juicy sweet fix :)
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

Yep, was very disappointed when I flew by yesterday for a fix. Stopped instead at Cafe Cubano a few doors east which was good when it first opened and was owned by the same people that own Cafe Bolero.

Cuban Sandwich was TERRIBLE. (Wrong) bread was soggy (they overdid the garlic butter baste Ambassador used to do well). Lechon had no flavor. Tossed half a way in disgust and slinked back to my hidden lair to stew in unfulfilled longing.

Made up for it by eating two Cuban Sandwiches from La Unica today. I hid a third sandwich in the refrigerator vegetable crisper where it should be safe. I considered stashing a fourth in my glove compartment, to warm on the defroster vents, but reason got the better of me.
