And regardless of the break-down of data points and parametric searching, I still disagree with the assertion that La Luce is the worst restaurant in Chicago, because they produce plenty of good dishes, regardless of mixed reviews on LTH. That's my only point here.

Other than that, I'll leave the tangental philosophy of data points, web site teleology and bric-a-brac to you folks.

I hear you ab, but I do not think that is the point. Or at least my point, and the one a few others here have echoed, if in a somewhat obtuse jargon, "data points," and all that.

The conclusion - "This is the worst restaurant in Chicago," is hyperbole, and pretty much meaningless, other than as a literary flourish. The details on the negative experience are useful and of interest.

In any case, we all know La Luce cannot truly be the worst place in Chicago since there are so many awful places, and no one has sampled them all. So I am on your side ab!

As the resident website teleologist and dispenser of bric-a-brac, let me point out that while I agree with your conclusion, I don't agree with your reasoning, which clearly conflates the ontological question (whether a "worst" restaurant can actually exist) with the epistemological question (whether, assuming there is a "worst" restaurant, we could know it, and if so, how we would know that we know it). Just for clarification's sake, of course.
