Except when I put in my birth date it thinks I am under 18 (I was born in 1964)

Frankly, I posted this as kind of a joke. Even considered putting it in the non-food category. I also wished to thumb my nose at corporate Amerika. I've never watched the entire commercial myself, let alone at slow speed. I just did a quick search of other boards.

But ... I am a sucker for new fast food products. I have to try them, I mean so much money goes into development, they've got to be good. Right? Rarely.

I'd think twice before selling KFC my personal info for $1. And I believe only the first 75,000 will get the coupon anyway.

    Do you really want this?

It wasn't unedible and was quite spicy. Certaintly not underpriced.

Ps. I've quite enjoyed Popeye's chicken sandwich a couple of times but there is nothing "deluxe" about it.

Ramon, sorry to disappoint you by falling for your joke. Frankly, I don't eat chain fast food more than about twice a year, but I have plenty of friends who do, and I don't look down my nose at them. I know they'd appreciate a coupon, so I'm happy to get and give them one. (Nor do I really care if one more company has my name and address, but then again, I'm listed in the phone book.)

...and birthdate, phone number, email address...

You didn't disappoint me at all, chgoeditor! I did not mean to come off as a fast food snob, but I didn't want to give the impression I was endorsing the Snacker sandwich as LTH chow-worthy. I actually went and ate the damn thing, by gum. The worst thing about it was the purely industrial grade bun. I go on to rec Popeye's "Deluxe" chicken sandwich, which actually has a decent bun (with mayo, leaf lettuce, and tomato). No snobbery was intended, but IMO, the reader is always right, and the writer ignores him at his own peril.

I'm more intrigued by this type of advertising in this post-Tivo world. I think I'd go with just a static logo or photo -- at least the fast-forwarding viewer might get a glimpse.

Well I have to give KFC credit, they shipped those certificates out with a quickness. I received mine on Friday...used it today. I agree with Ramon's assesment - certainly edible, spicy enough, terrible bun. I definitely don't mind having a 99 cent fast food chicken sandwich available, but i don't see myself getting it with any regularity.

That Popeye's chicken sandwich surprised me though...much better than I was expecting. A sizable piece of chicken, available in spicy (a key), with a good amount of lettuce and tomato (both of which actually had color and some flavor!), on an acceptable bun. Recommended if you're in the mood for a fast food chicken sandwich.

 Thank you Ramon for sharing your "joke"... it got me a $1.00 certificate to KFC. I'll probably give it to someone who wants to take a chance on that sammich. ;)
