The recent thread on focaccia motivated me to make some today. I had a piece left over, so I baked a dessert pie with semi-sweet chocolate chips and fresh strawberries with a dusting of powdered sugar:

BTW, the original focaccia (without sweets) was baked to go along with this double-loin lamb roast (saddle):

It is a good day in the kitchen! :D

    Bill,

The sweet focaccia looks great. When do you place the fruit and chips on? Just prior to getting it in the oven?

    Bill,

Enough is enough, focaccia, lamb, turkey thighs not to mention fig stuffed pork roasts, really, enough already, this has to stop, I'm going totally broke. Each time you post a picture of one of your culinary masterpieces I, without thought, take a bite of the monitor. Both my dentist and www.cdw.com love me.

    Enjoy,

    Zee,

    Thanks!

Yes, the bread is dressed just before going into the oven. I spread this dough a lot thinner than a regular focaccia. BTW, instead of olive oil, this was brushed with melted butter.

Thanks, Gary. I'm sure CDW sells some kind of monitor guard. I know they have a anti-drool keyboard protector.

    Best,
