    I love this skit.

    HI,

Since I haven't watched much SNL lately, is this a skit from the current crew? I couldn't tell from looking at the haircuts, though I didn't recognize anyone.

This type of commercial reminds me of late night television pitches where you not only buy a set of knives, you get the pots and skillets thrown in for free! I will stay up until they finally reveal the price.

Just how much for the Taco Town Taco? (I do like the Double Decker Supreme at Taco Bell, which is the hard taco wrapped with a soft flour taco filled with refried beans)

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Yeah, one of the guys is andy samberg, new to the cast, and very celebrated for his part in Lazy Sunday. He and the two other members of the Lonely Island dudes got hired this season, and they've been responsible for most of the very successful "SNL Digital Shorts".

It's worth checking out their site, because they have a lot of great stuff there, too.

I laughed so hard when I first saw this that I cried. I wanted to have my boss show this at a corporate meeting about innovation -- the CEO was going to be in attendance. Thought it was a great way of loosening up the crowd and discussing excess in QSR (quick serve restaurant) menus...

    it didn't happen.

I pissed myself when it first came on. It had particular resonance because my wife and I had both spontaneously and simultaneously commented, "That looks revolting" when we first saw the actual Taco Bell commercial on which it is based.

FWIW: There is some program on extended basic cable about or titled "Viral Videos" that has been showing this, along with other stuff, lterally every day since last week. Around 11PM somewhere in the neighborhood of ch. 39, or 43 or something.

Bravo and VH1 both have viral video shows. VH1's is titled "Web Junk 20" and is produced in affiliation with ifilm.com, also owned by Viacom. You can see just go to ifilm and get the exact same content without having to record it.

Bravo's is called, I think, "Outrageous Viral Videos" and I don't think is as good as WJ20. The narration just isn't nearly as good. Bravo is, however, owned by NBC, so that's why they're pushing the SNL digital shorts so much.
