We went to Duke's a few weeks ago. It's not a very big place in a very congested part of the city. We went early when it was rather uncrowded, but it was starting to fill up as we left.
But you didn't ask about the crowds or the location, you asked about the burgers. Here's where I get to be extremely unhelpful: I don't remember how they were. That doesn't mean it was bad; it just didn't stick in my mind. Duke's is too far out of my normal traffic pattern to make it a regular stop. Hopefully there is someone else who can actually attest to the food quality!
Edited to add: Mr. X did recall the burger to be quite good at Duke's. (He reminded me that I had two martinis -- $5 on Fridays! -- before/during the meal and that might have affected my recollection. He thinks he's so smart...) We both thought it was funny in a cute way that you can order just one mini-burger, which our friend did. Overall conclusion, a good burger if you're in the area, but not necessarily a place you need to seek out.
