Trader Joe's used to carry this Sweet Kalamata Spread - I thought it had a wonderful and unique flavor. I purchased numerous jars and enjoyed this deep purple spread with sweetened chunks of olives with goat cheese for breakfast. The spread also made a terrific addition to a cheese plate for after dinner - very versatile.

Unfortunately, not enough people enjoyed this product and, you guessed it, Trader Joe's stopped carrying it. I however, still crave it and I'm hoping some of you can help me locate a similar product.

    Thanks

I have made a kalamata spread with putting kalamatas in a mixer and whipping in cream cheese, you can control the olive/cream cheese ratio.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
However, the spread I am referring to is a sweet jam made from kalamata olives. I think I will try to make a jam using a basic recipe and substitute olives for fruit. We shall see if I can duplicate the purchased product!
