Orange County Recs

I'll be hosting a business client for dinner one night this week in Southern California. His office is in Oraage County near Huntington Beach. My research on the place that shall not be named here turns up a consensus that Huntington Beach is a culinary dud.

I'm basically looking for a comfortable seafood place that excels in its food preparation and presentation. Simplicity is the key. A prefer something a little upscale as opposed to a Beach Shack since I don't know this client well enough to go slumming for great chow with him.

Any place that I would recommend from my OC days is probably long since closed. I would agree that I really never found a really good place in Huntington Beach. Newport Beach would be a much better location.

Personally, we always entertained our OC client at Las Brisas Restaurant in Laguna Beach The food was always pretty good but views overlooking the ocean are not to be missed.

Westminster and Garden Grove are only a skip and a hop away... ( < 7 miles)
