En route to Grandhaven MI...Lunch?

Wasn't sure if this belongs in "Chicagoland" or the great "Beyond", but anywho:

Driving tomorrow with my whole office (huzzah!) for our annual retreat at a board member's home in Grandhaven MI. Tons more fun than it sounds.

Would like to pull the party-wagon over at some point en route for lunchery, but not sure if there's anything worth having besides fast food.

Here's our route, if it helps:

Kennedy Expressway (90/94) East to the "Skyway" (90 East) exit.

Skyway to "Exit 21 - Interstate 94 , Route 6, Route 51, Detroit/Lake Station" (or about 33 miles).

I 94 East towards Detroit. Staying on I 94 from Lake Station, Indiana to near Benton Harbor, Michigan (or about 63 miles).

That puts us at about the halfway point and probably getting hungry. Any remarkable road-food to be had? Or is it just rest-stops?

You might consider pulling off into New Buffalo. Here's a couple of threads on Beyond Chicago with some ideas.

Charlie's Piggin'N'Grinnin in Benton Harbor has very good BBQ. There menu is on the website. I eat there fairly often. Nearby Charlie's is a Tabor Hill Winery store if you need a pick me up for the rest of the drive.

For easy off/on New Buffalo is probably your best shot for alternatives beyond fast food. You can also drive along Red Arrow Highway from New Buffalo to Bridgman or Stevensville for a few options too(15 miles).( Exits available) Once you get to Bridgman the choices dwindle unless you want to drive off your beaten path.

You could pull off exit 34 (Fennville) off of I-196, drive a few miles east and have lunch at Journeyman Cafe. Their woodfired pizzas have been discussed here:
