These things are pretty tasty. They just opened a store a block west of Damen and Webster.

    Hi,

Last year my sister won a gift certificate for a fruit flower bouquet, which she promptly sent to our Mother. It arrived to the house before lunch, so my parents were well into the edible fruit flower arrangement before I took this photo:

Undressed of the fruit, the arrangment had an underlayment of curly kale:

Underneath the kale was a sopping wet iceberg lettuce punctured with holes and looking a bit bruised.

I chowed the lettuce with a finishing sauce of fermented tofu. The kale went into a soup. The multitude of skewers have been used for grilling. The basket probably went to someone's craft project.

While the cheesy flowers might have lingered for a week or so. This fruit basket was gone in less than a day!

    Regards,
