I'm heading out with a group of 6-8 to Chinatown for Dim Sum. It’s been a few years and need to know the better places. I vaguely remember a place with a green awning on Wentworth as being a good place. Thoughts?

    Welcome to LTHForum.

Dim Sum in Chinatown is an excellent group experience and already has some large threads on LTHForum on this subject:

I believe you're referring to China Cafe on Wentworth. The building is white with a green awning.: http://www.planet99.com/chicago/restaurants/10224.html
I haven't gone in a number of years but it serves decent cheap dim sum. Because they didn't devein their shrimp for example, there was some health concerns. That may have changed by now. You may want to check out a recent thread by Cathy2: http://www.lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=8772.

China Cafe is one of my Dim Sum places in China Town.
    It has been nicely remodeled.
Jay and I had Dim Sum this morning, nicely done, made to order and hot to the table.
The clientele seems to be mostly Chinese when we eat there which to me is a good thing but I had to ask for the various types of dipping sauces. 3 orders and the price before tip was less than $13.
They now have the ubiquitous picture menu with places to check what you want. Helps!-Richard
