Nephew's 12th B-Day yesterday, the kid is wild about udon noodles, so I made him a triple layer udon noodle birthday cake. Pretty much took my grandmothers noodle kugel, sweetened it up, added raisins, my grandmother is of the savory kugel persuasion, not sweet, and used udon noodles.
Was a big hit, though next time out I will sprinkle grated cheese on all three layers prior to baking and make a cheese 'frosting' for the sides of the udon b-day cake.
