with bonus points for delivery or carry-out.

I saw Annoying Questions about Wacker & North Michigan Area but are those in delivery distance? Those are more to the east, right?

I really like the Burrito Beach chicken soup inside Ogilve.

It's a couple years since I've been there, so I can't promise how late kitchen service runs, but Dylan's a couple of blocks south of Ogilvie is an option.

I'm pretty familiar with the shops in the foodmart. Are the shops open very late? I thought they all closed down in the evening. I welcome more suggestions from around that area--strongly because I am sick of the places in the food mark. They got old very quickly when you work near there.

There are two fast food joints on the ground level that are open until at least 10:30 PM. One of them is McDonald's.

I wonder if Boston Blackie's near Union Station (three blocks away) is open late.

Maybe it will help if you define what "late night" means to you. In addition to the Food Court shops at 500 W. Madison St. there are the restaurants locatted inside Presidential Towers to choose from - a Thai place, La Margarita, an Italian place, McDonalds and the Deli counter at the food market in the complex (a great place to buy lunch, by the way). There are also some places on Wacker Drive, and, of course, the places a short walk away at Randolph/Halsted or in Greektown.

Not sure how late I should ask for. I'll probably know more in a week. We are moving into a crazy crunch time at work and I'll probably be working late a lot. How about midnight?

Anything I learn in this thread I will share with the NOC, who even keep a wiki page with a table of places marked with closing times (11pm, 12pm, never, 1:30 am).

Blackie's is not open late. It seems that they really roll up the carpet in the Loop at about 9:00 pm or so. I would second Dylan's. It's on Clinton, less than a block from the station and they do have carry out. I've done it before and it's definitely palatable. The wings are good and spicy, they have some interesting things for a bar. Don't know how late the kiosks in the station stay open; when I was going to school downtown it seemed like I could never get anything at 10 pm...they were re-doing some of those restaurants at the time.

If you're looking for something more than fast food, Jefferson Tap isn't too far from Ogilvie. Haven't been myself, but have heard from co-workers that they have pretty decent food.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure the McDonalds in Union Station is open 24 hours. I've been there pretty late, definitely past midnight, after concerts and shows and such.
