In theory, Spacca Napoli is open from noon-9 pm on Sundays. However, nobody has picked up the phone for the past hour and a half. The end of the most recent SN thread didn't mention anything about a vacation - does anyone know what the deal is? Or is it just a small operation at which there is rarely someone around to answer the phone?

I think you might have out of date hours information, as they aren't open for lunch on Sunday anymore, at least according to the Reader.

I just called and got through. Coming in from out of town and was hoping to get a reservation for Friday evening, but they are not taking reservations available after 6pm (probably common knowledge except to me I suppose).

Any ideas on how long the typical wait is on a Friday around 8pm?

We went this past Friday at about 7:00 PM, and four of us waited about an hour, give or take. I wasn't watching the time very carefully. The crowd seemed significantly thinner when we went in, however, so perhaps at 8:00 it wouldn't take so long? Also, tables for two seemed to be going much faster.

Worth every minute of the wait, of course :-)

Well, I guess that geli is right about the lack of Sunday lunch - I tried calling until 3:30, at which point I just gave up and headed over there. I arrived around 5:30, waited 30-45 minutes, and had a very nice dinner. Anyways, thanks to all for taking a shot at my question :D
