We recently returned from an idyllic vacation in France – as I’ve mentioned in a few other posts – so in my off moments I’ve spent time on the internet browsing around dreamily fantasizing about return trips. In the process I came across the website for the Maisons de Bricourt, an inn and three-star Michelin restaurant (the chef is Olivier Roellinger) in Brittany. While it’s a bit difficult to navigate, this website is a treasure trove for food lovers, since it includes not only incredible photos and recipes (look under “cuisine,” pick a category, and then click on all the little photos on the side), but also includes warm tributes and contact info for all the individual purveyors – fisherman, farmers, etc. – that Roellinger deals with (found under “my addresses”). Imbedded in the site are other gems, like a discussion of oyster knives and much history of the Brittany region. I thought others might like to use this site to daydream about France:

Staying or eating there might be beyond the price point for many of us but I’d love to hear about anybody’s experience if you have.
