Here is an old Chowhound post by Rene G on
Uncle Remus Chicken and the adjacent
T&T Lounge.
And,
here is a picture of the old facade.
Those old links are dead. The Chowhound post can be found
here and Dawn Mikulich's photo is now
here.
I can't say I've missed Uncle Remus, but I
do miss T&T (or was it T-N-T?; I think its signs had it both ways). Here's a shot of it in 2006, after Uncle Remus closed and the place was repainted.

And another from 2010, after it closed.

They sold 'setups' which was a very affordable way to keep a good buzz going every evening. I smile everytime I drive by the empty lot on that corner now.
Wow, bottle service! I didn't realize it was such a classy joint. I think a bottle of High Life was as fancy as I got there. Although the exterior looked a bit forbidding, inside it was welcoming and comfortable (and anything but fancy). And that jukebox
was absolutely great.

I'm not familiar with this term - please say more.
I believe it refers to the practice of selling mixers and ice so the customer can add their own booze. I didn't realize it was an option at T&T. I guess it was also a package store, where you could buy a pint or a half.
