I've been eating a lot less 'scream than I used to, not sure why exactly, but I haven't been enjoying it as much as I used to.
The most memorable ice cream for me in the last few years was at Mario Battali's
Babbo in NYC: a tiny scoop of bergamot ice cream with bittersweet chocolate. I'd gladly accept that as my final meal: bitter, sweet and intensely flavored.
I used to be a big fan of Bryer's, when they were all natural, all the time. Today, they're more about the mix-ins, and even what was my fave, the mint chocolate chip, just doesn't have the same clean mint + cream taste it used to.
Ice cream shops? Just doesn't happen often.
Hmm.. Kopps. Yup, Kopps.
