    LTHers-

Few things warm my heart more than a sign with a big "V" on a yellow background. I just visited the Vienna Beef website, only to learn that in addition to the cased and deli meats I've always loved (and that, believe it or not, are available at a deli just a block from my office in San Francisco), Vienna Beef owns lots of other exciting brands:

    - Pie Piper Desserts
    - King Kold (makers of kosher Ratner's blintzes, potato pancakes, and kasha varnishkas, and Ruthie and Gussie's "kvetch proof" frozen latke dough)
    - Wünderbar (cheesecake on a stick!)
    - David Berg (hot dogs made from skeletal bull meat!)

Has anyone experienced any of these fabulous products, or know where to find these other Vienna Beef lines for purchase? I'd be excited to sink my teeth into a cheesecake on a stick or a kosher frozen deep dish pizza next time I'm home in Chicago.

Thanks, as always, for you invaluable advice!

I am pretty sure that the Al's Italian Beef on Ontario sells the Wunderbar. I know I've seen it around somewhere. Indeed, it comes up on their menu here.

I don't recall seeing any of the other products anywhere before.

As a kid, King Kold was a staple in our house. I think they used to come from the Saini Kosher 48 store on Devon. That was many years ago, but there is a good chance they will still be carried.

As far as David Berg, they used to be sold all over the place, but I can't remember seeing them in a while. If you want ot find out where to order/buy them, give 'em a call (773) 489-4711.

They carry the King Kold and Ratner's items at our local Jewel, so I assume you could find them at any Jewel store around the city.
