    Welcome to LTHForum!

In my mind "good delivery" is an oxymoron. Even the best delivered food is not quite as good as take-out, often due to the food spending an excessively long time in the vehicle while the delivery guy looks for your address, or grossly mis-handled food. I think I've had one meal in the last 3 years delivered to my home.

That being said, there are a handful of options in the area many of which are covered in this thread about an adjacent neighborhood:

delivery to and within Portage Park?

also, if you're looking for general recs or Old Irving food discussion, here's a nice place to start looking:

    starving in Old Irving!

    Best,
    Michael

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

Like eatchicago said - those threads will get your started Delivery Wise.

We've recently learned Pete's Pizza on Western delivers at far west as Laramie! (I did a happy dance that day)

As for dogs...I do NOT recommend Bowser Dogs. Cute place, love the vibe, and it's a block form my house....the dogs tasted....old, pale, unflavorful, stale bun....really nothing to love.

We do like Roma's on Cicero north of Irving (great pepper and egg on Fridays) and my new found love - Jeff's Red Hots - on Cicero South of Irving. This was the best dog I've had in a long time - Vienna, lots of garlic, Nice snap, steamed Rosen buns, extra sport peppers.

I am fond of LaVilla. Heck, you could walk & save the delivery charge-pick up's in the rear.

I also really like Marie's, but we prefer to either pick-up or eat in. I don't think it's been remodeled since the 60's. it's fab. I know some will beg to differ, but I think their Italian Beef, is great.

I know you asked for delivery, but Murray's is also within walking distance straight N of you across from the CVS. Good cheap bar food, & cheap booze.

You could try D'gigios. They have decent thin crust pizza and good whole bbq wings. They also deliver breakfast items, but I've never tried any of them.
