Anyone know if it's possible to buy ramen packets or ramen flavoring without the noodles?

    HI,

I would look in Japanese shops for their equivalent of boullion cubes, which is effectively what that stuff is. (I guess I am not too much help here)

    Regards,

I would substitute your favorite soup base concentrate.

Mitsuwa has an aisle dedicated to soups and soup bases: if you can get there, I'm sure you're bound to find something that suits you.

If not: go with broth: Trader Joe's now carries a Soy-Ginger broth that I find, if tweaked, makes a pretty decent asian-y soup broth.
