Great Dragon

Hey Gang

Haven't posted in forever. Got a carryout menu from Great Dragon at 3269 North Milwaukee. Looking for a good Chinese place, the menu doesn't look like this is the one, can anybody help?

Not sure if this is new, not listed on metromix etc

Friendship Restaurant is not far on Milwaukee. The chef has a nice version of Honey Walnut shrimp. The potstickers are nice and there are various other entrees worth trying. I would avoid the seafood hot & sour soup. The fake seafood just ruins what otherwise is a nice version. Just a warning. There are no family group dinners to lower the cost and they may or may not have a carryout menu available.

Friendship does both carryout and delivery, as I do both quite often. Also, on Tuesdays all entrees are $8.95 (dine in only).

I am not a huge fan of Friendship. I have gotten carryout before. While a lot of folks love it, including my neighbors, I find it to be far too inconsistent.

Menupages has no reviews up for Great Dragon, although it is listed. I had checked that yesterday.

Go to googlemaps: maps.google.com

type in Great Dragon, followed by a Chicago area cord. When the map finds it, click on the circle corresponding to it. If there are reviews, irrespective of the host, it'll show up under the name such as "17 reviews" - click on that hyperlink to view hyperlinks to each review.

Sometimes, I'll just type restaurant, area code of choice in maps.google.com to view all the local restaurant listings on the map and find new restaurants that way. It'll work w/ ethnic food types as well. For instance, you can type in "Thai, 60008" and it'll find Thai restaurants in that zip code with an expanding radius everytime you click on next.
