    Sabatino's
    4441 W. Irving Park Rd
    Chicago
    (773) 283-8331

My wife and I went to Sabatino's tonight for a date.
    What a great place!
    Very fun but adult atmosphere.
I agree with Don (a local hanging out at the bar) that the bartenders know how to pour a drink).
The food was very good. I had a filet and asked that they put it with some scallops, even though it wasn't on the menu, and they did. It was very good.
My wife is a vegetarian and she had some great options to chose from.
I'm looking forward to bringing a few friends there to have a little too much to drink and a little to much to eat.

Yes, LTHForum GNR-winning Sabatino's. Now even better without smoking in the back dining room...

Simply our favorite restuarant in the entire world...all things considered (food, drinks, historic atmosphere, price, amazing people watching, piano bar, and the cartoonish wait staff!)

We're there so often, the hostess has a standing reservation for us every Friday..whether we show up or not (they don't care....they put us down anyway automatically)

I've really tried to like Sabatino's - without fully succeeding. Dark room lighting to the point it's difficult to see what's on the plate in front of you and inconsistent food/service quality are my biggest gripes. I've been given, yet again, a gift certificate for the place but will probably let it sit in the drawer unused. I'm going to use my David Burke's Primehouse gift certificate though - at $150 it's enough for dinner and drinks for one!
