Looking at the Red Hot Chicago
web site it seems they are set up for shipping through
Irving's, though no mention of natural casing or skinless. I'd be damn sure I was shipping natural casing before sending to your friend.
Red Hot Chicago was, and may still be, located in the Fulton Market area, though the web site says W Armitage, I'm guessing you could buy direct.
Enjoy,

Thanks, Gary, for the info and the link. The site you link above -- filled with all sorts of useful information -- is not the same (wrong) one I found earlier today, via a search engine. I should have kept looking and found the right site.
Any suggestions on what else to send him are most welcome. So far, I've got Vienna, Leon's, Best Kosher, Eisenberg and (now) Red Hot Chicago. Is Sinai 48 still produced as a separate brand? I'm not sure sending something from a place like Paulina Market would be relevant for his purposes, but maybe I should throw some of their dogs in too.
