I'm relatively new to the world of Indian food (I had a bad experience a few years ago that put me off it) and have discovered the joys of the Himalayan Restaurant in Niles. They serve some complimentary dips when you come in- one is a sweet/sour dip with a syrup-y texture, one is some VERY spicy pickled peppers and other veggies, I'm guessing, and the other is a thin sauce, that seems to be pureed cilantro, with
maybe something else in there.
Does anyone know what the dips are called? I like the dips, but my mom likes the hot peppers I'd and be able to ask for them when I do carry-out because they don't usually add it into carry-out orders. And if I can find recipes so I can make them at home, that would be great too! Thanks!
