Ron and I gently disagree about Yerbabuena, though I suppose I would choose it over Salbute, if only because I find the Hinsdale scene so hard to stomach, but I definitely support and second Tango and Angeli's.
Mykha's in Glen Ellyn is nice, too. Pretty nice cooking with a Vietnamese accent and flavorings, though not really Vietnamese food. I really liked the place, though after a few visits I found the food to have a sameness in seasoning and composition that caused me to lose interest. But it was great for my first couple of visits.
Cebu is a pretty neat Filipino place in Downers Grove, and
Tay Do and
Village Hut in Glendale Heights are excellent if you want Vietnamese, or a style of Indian, vegetarian food you could not easily find elsewhere. Neither is terribly fancy, but both are pleasant places, great value and excellent food. On the other hand, if you want the charm of Hinsdale, Salbute is great and their main courses are interesting.
