"I Hope He Notices Me"
Phil Vettel writes that Anthony Bourdain is filming at moto today and will be at Matchbox and Silver Palm (768-770 N. Milwaukee) from 8-10 p.m. this evening. Make us flip a coin between stalking BOURDAIN and watching "One Tree Hill" reruns. [The Stew]

I like what Neil Steinberg had to say about the guy...

Yes, but when he's not performing, he's actually a pretty normal guy. Completely different than the character he plays on the radio.

He refers to Chicago as "the only other real city in America." Love it.

Too bad that the vast majority of cable viewers in Chicago will never see it - ComCast doesn't carry the Travel Channel in most of its viewing areas, including metro Chicago. You can get snippets of "No Reservations" via the On Demand feature, but it's not worth the time or bother.
gleam wrote:I absolutely get the travel channel on comcast. I record no reservations religiously. It's channel 83, for me, in the city.

I have no pony in the Mancow race, but it ain't my business who Tony Bourdain chooses for friends.jimswside wrote:With the above said, I will watch the Chicago episode with alot of interest as I enjoy Mr. Bourdain and his take on food, and the cities/countries he visits 99% of the time.
I am a fan of Tony Bourdain and No Reservations and am looking forward to seeing the Chicago show.
Enjoy,
Gary
Tony spent more time with Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper than showing local highlights and food.
