Well, Thing 1 and Thing 2 (my teens) have been begging to go there since it opened, so last night we decided to try it.
Based on the low opinions here, I was prepared to hate it, but it really was OK.
Family of 4 got out of there for just over $40 with tip. But that's partly due to $.35 wings on tuesday -- it would be about another $10 at regular prices. I wasn't in the mood to eat with my fingers so I had the buffalo tender salad: pretty good with the "Wild" level of sauce on the chicken.
Thing 1 met his match with the "Blazin'" sauce -- only managed to eat 7 of his dozen before he gave up. Thing 2 was more sensible and went for 6 Wild and 6 Hot (their midpoint sauce). Mrs. F went for Spicy Garlic (midlevel) and Southwest BBQ ("smooth"). Both were tasty.
Sides: "Buffalo Chips" are discs of thick-cut fingerling potatoes. Kinda limp. Onion rings, on the other hand, were excellent: crisp, and with a piquant orange-colored sauce (probably ranch dressing with hot sauce).
Mrs. F was also disappointed to find us all playing the trivia and poker video games -- although she also participated. Not exactly a family conversation night with those going.
We won't go there often, but on a Tuesday, it's probably worth it. Me, the $.50 drumsticks on Wednesdays sound good, but Mrs. F doesn't like drumsticks.
