The one time I went there I thought it was not good and overpriced wings! They were small compared to some bars Ive tried wings at and pretty pricey from what I remember!

About the only good thing I can say about BWW (formerly BW3s) is that they have a variety of sauces of about 12 sauces. There's about 5 spice-levels of regular wing sauce, a garlic, 2 bbq's, curry, jerk, teriyaki and maybe a few others. The wings are the smallest I've ever seen. At least the beers are 22oz pours.

They used to have $0.20 wings on Tuesdays at the Milwaukee location near my school campus. Then they were .25, then .30, and now .35. Not the bargain it used to be. Definitely overpriced on non-sale days.

As an aside, any ideas on good delivery or take out places for wings in the Lakeview area?

I ordered wings from Hooters last year for Super Bowl , BIG MISTAKE! They were pre - cooked and thrown in the oil before I picked them up. Over cooked and very dry, I guess alot of places do this on a busy day.

Take-out from Hooters? Kinda defeats the purpose.

take-out wings would seem to defeat the purpose. wings need to be hot and fresh. make 'em yourself!

I'd be afraid they'd get soggy from being transported in a closed container - sorta like having fries delivered.

I dunno, some foods just really aren't meant to travel. (Fried foods with some exceptions seem to fit in that category.)

Clearly, I have no one but myself to blame for this. We stopped in at a Buffalo Wild Wings on Euclid in Mt. Prospect last night. We had the wings with spicy garlic sauce. They were just OK. Otherwise the food and service were shocking, especially at those prices. (In the high $40s for 12 wings, 2 sandwiches, 2 glasses of wine and a few beers.) Everything is served on paper and with plastic knives and forks. You have to ask to get more than one tiny little napkin, and there are no handiwipes available, which is weird because the wings are extremely messy. Service was cheerful but it was one of those places where they don't seem to have a routine in place and people stood around talking and seemed surprised whenever you asked for something. (We were sitting at the bar; I can't even imagine trying to get service at a table.) We tried two different beers on tap and they were both completely flat. (That's why I say "a few beers" above; I don't know how many we paid for having sent 2 back.) Very poor all around.

I do not have a television at home so when I have to see a football or basketball game on television, I find myself heading to the health club or Buffalo Wild Wings.

I agree with some of the prior observations ... but not all of them.

In Algonquin, you get PLENTY of wipes, napkins, etc. I do not drink so I don't know about their beverages.

Their wings are absolutely puny. And the wing is ONE section of the wing and NOT the whole thing.

No matter what you order there, the wings come out dry - that is, any remote excess of sauce is drained off.

And they nickle and dime you to death (I should say 0.25-0.50 cents) you to death. Want extra sauce, they charge you for it. Celery is extra. Salad dressing is extra. And their prices are not cheap by any measure.

The employees are pretty decent and they have to keep moving since the palce is always packed.

Personally, I head on down Randall Rd., pick up 24oz of WHOLE chicken wings for 0.99 at Woodman's. Add in 6 oz of Cajun Power Sauce and you'll never want to head back to Buffalo Wild Wings.

It does look like a very good place to watch a game on TV, so I suppose the prices are part of the rationale; you're paying rent.

I make wings at home anyway.

Well, Thing 1 and Thing 2 (my teens) have been begging to go there since it opened, so last night we decided to try it.

Based on the low opinions here, I was prepared to hate it, but it really was OK.

Family of 4 got out of there for just over $40 with tip. But that's partly due to $.35 wings on tuesday -- it would be about another $10 at regular prices. I wasn't in the mood to eat with my fingers so I had the buffalo tender salad: pretty good with the "Wild" level of sauce on the chicken.
Thing 1 met his match with the "Blazin'" sauce -- only managed to eat 7 of his dozen before he gave up. Thing 2 was more sensible and went for 6 Wild and 6 Hot (their midpoint sauce). Mrs. F went for Spicy Garlic (midlevel) and Southwest BBQ ("smooth"). Both were tasty.

Sides: "Buffalo Chips" are discs of thick-cut fingerling potatoes. Kinda limp. Onion rings, on the other hand, were excellent: crisp, and with a piquant orange-colored sauce (probably ranch dressing with hot sauce).

Mrs. F was also disappointed to find us all playing the trivia and poker video games -- although she also participated. Not exactly a family conversation night with those going.

We won't go there often, but on a Tuesday, it's probably worth it. Me, the $.50 drumsticks on Wednesdays sound good, but Mrs. F doesn't like drumsticks.

    JoelF,

They used to be 25 cent wings ... I was not aware that they had raised their prices AGAIN! Fortunately, I had a bottle of Cajun Power Sauce and substantially improved the wings.

I had to head down the ULL Ragin Cajuns vs. Denver and Detroit-UW-Milwaukee games on Tuesday night. It is one of the few places that don't care if you linger onn after completing your food.

I need to fins a place with better (and cheaper food) as my tab was $16 after tip.
