But how can I portal my twoots retroactively to the Buffyverse? That's what I don't get.

That's easy, just outload them to an intertube viewport, then select your contact matrix and sub-zoom using a FaceSpaceSter plug-in.

[post deleted as, on second thought, is too tangential.]

Since the Publican brunch was so deeply entwined with Twitter, this might be hard to do, but would some of the questions that are being raised might be better served in the Twitter thread?

Well, she only used a a small part of her 140 characters for that tweet, but she will sometimes reply to constituents who ask questions via twitter, so if you were a missourian and wanted clarification, you might be able to get it by just asking her. Go back to March 11th for some examples of that.

    (long non-food quotes removed).

Fundamentally the twitter update is pretty similar to the facebook status update, which I suspect most twitter-o-phobes here are already comfortable with. Twitter is just more specialized, and since it doesn't imply a real relationship, lets people connect outside of their current social network.

The GP - good point. I've deleted my post above yours as, on second thought, it departs too tangentially from The Publican.

There's no going back. However, I've piped Fake Hot Doug's tweets into World of Warcraft via an AddOn, so I always know what's up in the sausage world while I'm traipsing through Azeroth at 2 AM.

    That is most impressive.

Thanks for all the feedback on the Publican Twitter project yesterday. If anyone has any questions about what we were doing, why, or if Chef Kahan was cooking or tweeting, I am happy to answer them. (Quick answer there, Paul was cheffing and I was typing and taking photos).

I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place. I haven't been to your site in a while so I am a tad unfamiliar with the process.

I'll stop this particular tangent here (but blame Mike G. for taking us fully into geekdom with Buffy, and happy_stomach for the original nudge), but am totally starting a thread on Warcraft Cooking in Other Culinary Chat later this week. Thanks for the entertaining first month of posts, Khaopaat - we're glad you came out of lurking (/stealth).

I will apologize in advance in case I offend anyone.

I am an "early-adopter" when it comes to many forms of technology, however, I am either late to the party when it comes to others--Or I don't show up at all.

Posting in an internet forum such as this requires one to be somewhat self-absorbed, but "tweeting," "twittering," or whatever the hell else one does on that site really takes the cake. If I feel the need to blurt out whatever I am thinking at any given moment, I will use the phone or (gasp!) write someone an e-mail.

We had something similar to Twitter in the 70's, however, it had much less reach---It was called a CB radio!

I have to go now--- I have to yell at the neighbor kids to get off of my lawn!
"Goldie, how many times have I told you guys that I don't want no horsin' around on the airplane?"

No offense taken here, but if you have any questions (yes, many people liken it to CB Radio), we're here to answer what we can! Thanks. Ellen
