I have reservations for Monday - is it worth it? Or should we try something else? We never go downtown much and want it to be fun and nice.

Do a search, read the reviews and draw your own conclusion.

How about reporting the outcome of any of the decisions you made the last several times you asked this type of question? Did you go to any of the places? What did you think about them? LTHForum works much better when there is some give and take, in my opinion.

If you like impeccably sourced fresh fish in simple marvelous presentations in a beautiful setting and don't mind paying up then it is. You can keep it relatively cheaper by doing the 6-course and not doing any upgrades. also, there is some german pinot on the wine list that is a relative bargain.

I've read the various reviews and I believe Bordain visited on a show that i watched.
If you have not experienced the best seafood that can usually only be obtained by purchasing right on the dock or from purveyors such as Browne Trading which is the best in my opinion, then you might want to avail yourself of a visit to learn what fresh is all about. Many times also the best quality is not available to a private source as its sold to restaurants only. Preperation is also a concern because if you have never shucked a scallop in the shell or prepared Murigai from a whole live gooeyduck clam then you best find someone to do this for you. I source from wherever I can get the best which usually means Browne, Mitsuwa or a grocery (Grasch's) in Milwaukee that is just superb on some items, and I can do the prep, so for me L20 is not a consideration. But if you want your standards set high, then L20 sounds like the place to go.-Dick
