Post #3 - June 30th, 2009, 8:06 pmThe short answer is no. Even private clubs (Union League Club, etc.) have banned cigar smoking, as they were required to when the law passed. I suppose that you could try to BYO to a tobacconist like Jack Schwartz, as was suggested (not sure if people actually do this).

Post #7 - July 1st, 2009, 11:24 amThey really need to change these stupid smoking laws. I can to some extent understand no smoking in a restaurnt, maybe even a bar, but the fact that one can not serve liquor and cigars in an establishment dedicated to cigars is utterly ridiculous.

agreed. The way they did it in dc is that if more than 50% of your revenue (i think that's the threshold) comes from bona fide tobacco sales then you can have smoking in your bar. But what if non-smokers or kids want to have a drink at said cigar bar?
Won't someone PLEASE think of the children!
