OK, been a while since Chicago banned smoking, but is there any place left in the loop that offers both cigars and alcohol?

Jack Schwatrz Cigars 141 W. Jackson (CBOT) East lobby, I suppose if you brought enough to share, Billy the owner wouldn't mind, Otherwise go to Ceres and aks them to make you a to-go cup.

The short answer is no. Even private clubs (Union League Club, etc.) have banned cigar smoking, as they were required to when the law passed. I suppose that you could try to BYO to a tobacconist like Jack Schwartz, as was suggested (not sure if people actually do this).

Closest outside Chicago is probably the bar at Jack Binion's Steak House in the Horseshoe Hammond.

They really need to change these stupid smoking laws. I can to some extent understand no smoking in a restaurnt, maybe even a bar, but the fact that one can not serve liquor and cigars in an establishment dedicated to cigars is utterly ridiculous.

agreed. The way they did it in dc is that if more than 50% of your revenue (i think that's the threshold) comes from bona fide tobacco sales then you can have smoking in your bar. Only one place meets that threshold.

But what if non-smokers or kids want to have a drink at said cigar bar?

Won't someone PLEASE think of the children!
