We are having an Eagle Scout ceremony and serving pulled pork sandwiches. I am looking for suitable buns for pulled pork sandwiches. The size of the bun is important. I the bun is too big kids(of all ages) will load up the bun and often end up throwing out half of the food. This behavior has no correlation to the quality of the pork.
Hamburger buns are too big and structurally unacceptable. Gonnella has a mini Kaiser available which might work. Unfortunately, Restaurant Depot appears to be the only place I might be able to get get it. I do not have a tax card. A mini brat bun might work. I am open to any and all suggestions. Should I ask Pticeks, LaBriola or Tischmans to make or have a bun?
I know the smoking gods will be able to point me in the right direction. I am in the near west burbs.
