Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik

I have a dentist's appointment on the 14th at 11:30, but the 21st works well for both of us.

Angin Mamiri sounds good. I was thinking about What The Food!, on Clark, but they still seem to have their training wheels on at lunchtime.

I was there with SteveZ and a few other LTH regulars for lunch in June, and I have to agree with his assessment. Still, I'll be happy to join. It's on my calendar.

Looks like a small but solid group for lunch next week. Anyone else care to join us?

If it's O.K., I'd like to add as a tentative/spontaneous member of the group for lunch. I won't know until the day of if I can get away for an hour or two.

Yes, room for at least one more, Paul, as long as you 86 the Brooklyn accent so we can understand you this time. :)

We have eight confirmed and one maybe to this point. I'm sure Angin Mamiri can accommodate a few more for lunch...

We have reservations tomorrow for ten people. If more unexpectedly show up at the last minute, that won't be a problem.

I know I'm responding at the last minute, but you think that Angin Mamiri can accommodate another person, I'd like to go tomorrow as well.

Prior to last week's lunch at Angin Mamiri, I'd never eaten Indonesian food. So I can't say, actually, that this was a good or bad or representative Indonesian experience. I can say, though, that I enjoyed the food and I'm looking forward to returning.

The owner told us that he'll be having a Rijstafel, a Indonesian small-plates sampling, perhaps as early as next month. GAF encouraged him to let us know when he's ready for such a feast as he could probably book one of the first nights with LTHers alone.
