Amazingly one week into the new digs Sun Wah was on the mark, Peking Duck courses delicious, baby bok choy incredibly tender with an almost silky texture, steamed fish fillet with Chinese ham elevating tilapia to new heights and the best version of fried garlic ribs to cross my plate.
Filled to capacity at one point, the spiffy new Sun Wah experienced greater than typical lag time between ordering, serving, busing, tea/water refills etc, I might suggest adding additional weekend personnel specifically for liquid delivery and table clearing, but on the plate, where it counted, there were no gaffs whatsoever.
In addition to our large party of LTHers the ever engaging VitalInformation and CondimentQueen were in the house with a group and after 5-years of knowing GAF I finally met his very lovely bride. Had the great pleasure of meeting a few new to me LTHers and sat next to BryanZ who at 23 has the palate, experience and depth of knowledge of someone twice his age.
Thanks for arranging Steve, food was terrific, but the interesting, animated conversation and unbridled gustatory enthusiasm of LTHers really made the evening.
Enjoy,
Gary
