Last Christmas, I got a book called Culinaria Italy, Pasta-Pesto-Passion, by Claudia Piras & Ruprecht Stempell. I mention it because I am still not done reading it. I am reading slowly, savoring each page. It has each region of Italy in a separate chapter with the traditions, food, wines, recipes, shopping places, and much more, represented by great writing and even better photos. There are, I believe, a couple more books in this series, one on Spain, and maybe France. If you like Italy & its food history, DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK!
