Thanks to all for a great time.
I can say now I never need to eat dried, reconstituted oysters ever again, but everything else was wonderful.
(the meal needed more duck!)
My favorites were the lobster, the sole and the mushrooms with tofu and pea(?) shoots, but the combination of all the little bits made for a wonderful meal.
The dessert, "year cake," came out as sort of Chinese French Toast. I'll have to try to make that. Kelly said it was glutinous rice flour, coconut milk and sugar.
What is patriotism, but the love of good things we ate in our childhood?
